As an Outside Sales Representative, you will build relationships with wholesales and non-wholesales customers for accounts in an assigned territory; assist with promoting and advancing company marketing/sales programs and develop and create new opportunities for sales through cold calls of new customers and accounts. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Call on customers per the schedule/strategy created with the store leader or other members of the management team and ensure retail and wholesale customers make Auto Value the first call for parts
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
  • Conduct sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
  • Complete all related reports accurately and on time
  • Participate in training programs, learning about our products, our programs and our customers
  • Represent Auto Value in a professional and positive manner
  • Assist other store team members as needed

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of related experience and must have a thorough knowledge of the auto parts industry and sales approaches; bachelor’s degree desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
