Job Description:
Oracle is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our industry-leading Database Operations team, focusing on both IaaS engineering and operational excellence. In this role, you will drive complex, cross-functional projects involving global teams, contributing to the development of Oracle’s Infrastructure, Security technologies and the optimization of operational processes. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams across multiple time zones, ensuring projects are delivered securely, reliably, and at scale for our worldwide customer base.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end technical and operations program management for major infrastructure,Security and Operations Tools projects.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, schedules, and resource allocation for globally distributed teams.
  • Leverage Jira to manage project plans, track progress, and report on key metrics and milestones.
  • Align database development initiatives with operational objectives to enhance efficiency and supportability.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Champion process improvements and best practices for engineering and operations, with a focus on effective global collaboration.
  • Ensure solutions meet Oracle’s high standards for security, availability, and compliance.
  • Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders, providing regular updates to leadership across multiple time zones.
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of technical and/or operations program management experience, focused on software or IaaS engineering.
  • Strong understanding of relational database technologies, cloud platforms, and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated success managing programs for globally distributed teams in multi-timezone environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira for project management, reporting, and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (Agile/Scrum preferred).
  • Outstanding organizational, leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and globally distributed setting.

Responsibilities

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $90,100 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
