SUMMARY
The Senior Logistics Analyst supports the Corporate Logistics Team by delivering strategic insights, structured reporting, and data analysis that align with departmental goals and leadership agenda priorities. Leveraging Oracle Cloud and Power BI, this role is responsible for tracking key performance indicators such as productivity and on-time delivery, analyzing monthly trends, and assessing their impact on overall team performance.
This position will collaborate closely with Finance to design and maintain a robust reporting framework that enables data-driven decision-making and fosters continuous improvement. The analyst will also lead and support logistics projects, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Success in this role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Effectively and accurately, prepare, analyze, review, and present analysis of identified projects.
Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends and inefficiencies within inbound raw material, outbound finished good, private fleet routing and warehouse capacity and processes. Conduct root cause analysis and present findings to drive change with key stakeholders.
Support Oracle Cloud migration efforts, including data mapping, validation, and reporting.
Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Oracle tools that will be leveraged by the Logistics Team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights and results.
Ensure data accuracy through regular audits and quality checks and eliminate reporting not supporting key objectives.
Take initiative and be responsible for the identification, development and implementation of productivity improvements which support Leadership Agenda items and team financial objectives.
Work with IT to identify and improve processes and systems related to logistics. Work closely with load planning, carrier coordinators and managers to improve department performance.
Leadership abilities, critical and analytical thinking and business insights will be key in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree. Concentration in Transportation/Logistics, mathematics and strategy.
5 to 7 years of work history with an analytic background.
Experience with Oracle Cloud and Power Bi platforms.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, interpret, and create documents, data sets, charts, graphs, and business case presentations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before senior leadership of the organization and articulate the benefits and risks associated with each business case requiring additional support or approval.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with and apply mathematical and accounting concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to business cases and presentations. Ability for cognitive analysis of business metrics and trends applying internal and external forces in order to develop and recommend solutions and exercising good judgment.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrate logical and critical thinking to solve problems and utilize team members seasoned judgment when handling escalated issues with leadership, consignees/customers and/or external business partners. Have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate to advanced proficiency skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, Excel, Tableau and Python. Base knowledge of Pella order fulfillment systems, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), OBIEE and other analytical and data-based applications are a plus.
