THE JOB:
As a Database Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our critical database systems. You’ll install, maintain, and optimize databases across the enterprise, support 24/7 operations, and partner with technology teams to drive innovation, reliability, and compliance.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Install, upgrade, and maintain database systems across the enterprise.

• Configure, support, and monitor replication, clustering, and client environments.

• Develop, review, and tune scripts, triggers, and stored procedures.

• Assist with production incidents, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recovery.

• Monitor performance and implement tuning solutions to improve system efficiency.

• Ensure proper audit trails, backups, and recovery processes are maintained.

• Support security access management and compliance with MGM policies and industry regulations.

• Collaborate with IT peers and vendors on projects, integrations, and continuous improvements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 3 years of database administration experience in a commercial environment or prior relevant experience

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.

• Familiarity with clustering, replication, SAN storage, and data warehousing.

• Knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL scripting (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Teradata SQL).

• Experience with backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
