Summary
The ideal candidate maintains and repairs painted, wall covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, furniture and equipment throughout the facility to project a neat and well-maintained appearance.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise painting projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to satisfaction.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with team members.
- Assess project requirements, resources, and timelines to allocate staff and materials efficiently.
2. Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide detailed project updates and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
3. Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of painters, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, progress, and any changes to plans.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
4. Pricing and Estimation:
- Accurately estimate project costs and prepare detailed quotes.
- Monitor project expenses and manage budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
5. Quality Control:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed to the highest standards and in compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
6. Hands-On Work:
- Be prepared to assist with physical painting tasks when necessary, ensuring all work meets professional standards.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to team members as needed.

Reports to Director of Property Operations, Assistant Director of Property Operations
External Relationships
Has regular contact with The Boca Raton Associates
Qualifications
- The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Considerable knowledge of paint, varnish, stain, enamels, lacquers, wall coverings, masonry work and other related products as well as application and mixing procedures of such products.
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools and other equipment including brushes, rollers, scrapers, sandpaper, spray guns, lifts, etc.
- Considerable knowledge of OSHA standards and application for working with chemicals.
- Basic English language communication skills to fully comprehend job assignments, read and understand manufacturer instructions in preparing and mixing paint or masonry products, and adhere to safety warnings.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Extensive painting experience (10+ years) - Essential!
- Spray painting experience is advantageous to the role.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with clients, staff, and subcontractors.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform painting tasks to a high standard.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the painting industry.
- Experience working with a diverse and international workforce.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
- A strategic thinker who can contribute to the growth and development of the company.
Physical Requirements
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
