Homeoffice Senior Director, Design and Construction bei Delaware North

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Senior Director, Design and Construction to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The Senior Director serves as the Project Executive and leads our Design and Construction Team on a ground-up project in the Denver area.  This role will supervise and provide daily leadership for Delaware North’s project team and work in partnership with key project stakeholders to establish development priorities.  In this role,  you will be the principal point of contact for the project and responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Delaware North’s internal design and construction team, operational stakeholders, Owner representatives, and key construction and design team stakeholders. 

Our ideal candidate should possess extensive project experience in gaming/casino projects, which should include casino gaming floor, hotel, retail, meeting/conference/event spaces, and food and beverage outlets within a casino operation.

• Delegate and monitor all aspects of the developer’s team including project billing, forecasting, expense tracking, and implementation of quality assurance procedures 
• Coordinate initial planning for gaming and hospitality projects including programming, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and entitlements 
• Lead design activities and stakeholder engagement, manage RFPs and designer selection, and ensure Delaware North best practices are integrated into the design process 
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, conduct value engineering, and report issues impacting cost or timeline to management 
• Oversee construction documentation and material selections, review milestone submissions, and communicate cost implications of design or scope changes 
• Manage construction bids and contractor negotiations, coordinate on-site activities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations 

• Bachelor’s degree required in construction management, architecture, or related field 
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in casino and resort construction experience, with at least 7 years of experience as an Owners Representative or a lead project manager for a construction company or general contractor for projects exceeding $750M  
• Construction project management experience in casino and gaming ground-up construction and renovations to existing casino facilities   
• Knowledge and experience of purchasing, budgeting, negotiating, and awarding contracts required 
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Blue Beam, AutoCAD, and PMWeb required 
• Travel up to 25% may be required
