Role and Responsibilities
The Manager, Business Operations and Finance for NR/STR accounts will be responsible for planning short- and medium-term revenue plans and forecasts, quarterly promotional roadmap, and gap closure activities while managing all financial planning and analysis related to investments to drive the Samsung MX business at our carrier/retail partners. Conduct finance operations with customers and the internal sales team to ensure timely reporting to management.
Role & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement quarterly promotional roadmaps to support management's strategic targets, collaborating with Sales, SCM, and product teams.
- Conduct financial due diligence on promotional investments to ensure alignment with organizational metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare comprehensive business cases and analyses to secure executive approvals for major promotional initiatives.
Revenue Forecasting & Performance Management:
- Manage the creation of short- and medium-term revenue forecasts during the monthly Target Planning cycle.
- Monitor weekly revenue performance against targets, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate cross-functionally to address gaps.
- Track open promotions and claims, ensuring adjustments are made to maintain forecast accuracy and achievement.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Assess financial risks and growth opportunities, leveraging data-driven insights to meet targets.
- Provide detailed reports on forecast accuracy, sales performance, and promotional impact to senior leadership, refining forecasting methodologies as needed.
Promotion Evaluation & Optimization:
- Evaluate the performance of historical promotions, conducting post-mortem analyses to determine efficacy, forecast accuracy, and ROI.
- Utilize data analytics to assess the success of promotions and sales programs, recommending adjustments to enhance outcomes.
Sales Deduction & P&L Management:
- Manage sales deduction forecasts and analyze P&L for all product categories.
- Assist in the monthly closing process by coordinating with finance teams.
- Improve sales deduction forecast accuracy and business outlook projections.
- Prepare financial reports on sales deductions, claims, aging, and other related metrics to support business target achievement.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is required, and finance and forecasting experience is highly desired.
- 6+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and business operations.
- Performs work under time schedules and stress, which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.
- May require additional work hours beyond the normal schedule.
- Travel varies depending on position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong Excel and Analytical skills
- Oral and written communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally, and build key relationships with customers, sales, and PM team.
- Korean Bilingual is a plus to interact with HQ team
