Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is hiring a direct hire fulltime entry level onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee II, 2nd Shift at our Reading, Pennsylvania facility.

The base hourly pay range is $22 - $28, possible overtime may be available.

Your 2nd Shift schedule will be Sunday through Thursday from 2:15PM - 10:45PM EST.

You are: 

• Have a proven background in electro-mechanics troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.

You will:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, and repair complex mechanical and electronic industrial equipment including conveyor systems, and sortation machines.
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.
• Assist in maintaining the spare parts/supply inventory.
• Read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagram.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Use a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment to safely test or execute appropriate maintenance.
• Perform all additional duties as required.

Your background as an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician II, you have: 

• 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment including mailing equipment/sortation, conveyance, PLC systems, or any other industrial electro-mechanical production equipment.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
• Experience with electro-mechanics troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
