We are searching for a talented Maintenance Technician at our Aurora, CO Facility. The Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability of plant assets by performing preventive maintenance tasks and repair work to equipment specifications. The technician is expected to perform work in a safe and efficient manner. This position is Forklift Certified. We provide the certification in-house.  They will follow diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer's specifications and federal, state and local city codes in maintaining, fixing and troubleshooting our plant equipment and machines.  This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. 

Due to the physical demands of this job, it is essential that correct lifting techniques, proper body mechanics, as well as applicable safe work practices be utilized.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes and documents daily maintenance work orders.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts by analyzing asset downtime and recommending maintenance tasks to eliminate defects.
  • Works with other maintenance technicians to keep the shop in a clean, orderly state.
  • Performs light fabrication and welding work to repair plant assets.
  • Helps maintain spare parts inventory by assigning repair parts to work orders and recommending replacement parts to be ordered.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Is passionate about safety.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate work under the pressures of tight deadlines.
  • Works effectively with little to no close supervision.
  • Willing to work mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Has a strong work ethic, is dependable and interested in being a solid contributor to the team.
  • Has some mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of LOTO procedures.
  • Has troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic controls and hydraulic
  • Is interested in continuous improvement and learning.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Welding experience

Starting Pay $36.22/Hr.
