About the Role
Here at LendingClub, we take pride in providing our members (customers) with a unique, world-class experience.As a Collections Associate, you will manage a portfolio of accounts that require advanced negotiation skills, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of collections practices. These accounts may involve escalated delinquency, charge-off risk, or complex financial situations.
What You'll Do
You will work in a fast paced, high-volume environment as you make outbound collections calls on an auto-dialer. About 100 -120 calls daily.
You will navigate difficult conversations while needing to overcome objections, influence outcomes, ask clarifying questions, and negotiate payment arrangements.
You will listen and seek to understand the member’s goals/needs and tailor specific solutions using LendingClub tools and resources
You can expect to contribute to defined KPIs and results by infusing a human element into our call model.
Pay
$19.00/hr base + monthly performance-based bonuses. Avg earnings $22-25/hr
Schedules (subject to change):
10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Thursday; 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Friday
OR
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM 4 Weekdays; 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday - Saturdays are required for the early schedule.
About You
Have 1+ year of collections and/or sales experience
Contribute to a positive team environment by actively engaging with your peers and leaders while having a willingness to continuously improve through training and development.
Ability to thrive in a high-stress environment while navigating emotions of others-mainly customers-in a professional and respectful manner
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Virtual (Work from Home) Considerations:
LendingClub currently has options to work from home, but we are asking for flexibility going forward as circumstances change and we potentially determine to transition teams back to work in the office. The following are requirements to perform this role while working from home:
Have a quiet, dedicated space (preferably with a door) where you can work uninterrupted at home. This also includes having a dedicated desk and chair for work.
Have high speed internet with low usage during business hours (20MBPS download speed and 5-10 MBPS upload speed)
Be able to connect directly into your modem/router (not via wifi) ethernet cord provided
Be comfortable trouble shooting technical issues without in-person IT support
MUST live and work within 75 miles of the LendingClub office hiring this role.
While working, it is expected that you are not the primary caregiver to any pets, children or elderly.
Working Conditions
Required to be on the phones, work on a computer and at a desk for extended periods of time including viewing a screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard and wearing a headset. Must be able to function effectively in a dynamic fast-paced call center environment where natural and regular work stressors can occur.
