About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Business Advisor to join our Credit and Lending team.
- Manage a portfolio of applicants, providing guidance and support to help them access funding.
- Assess business plans, cash flow forecasts, and other supporting documents in line with lending standards.
- Build strong relationships with applicants and maintain excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Make balanced lending decisions, ensuring all assessments meet compliance and quality standards.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to help loan recipients sustain and grow their businesses.
- Share knowledge and best practice with colleagues to enhance team performance and the customer experience.
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements, data protection, and internal policies
- Proven experience working in a target-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse business and financial information.
- Understanding of the needs of small businesses and entrepreneurs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in business plan assessment or small business lending.
- Understanding of FCA guidance on Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
- Previous experience supporting process improvement or change initiatives.
