The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Ambulatory service
When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.
As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for providing direct and indirect services to specific age groups in outpatient rehabilitation settings. This position utilizes process improvement to achieve the goals of the department. This role practices autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient. In addition, this position exercises independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.

Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
Meets the productivity standards, as defined by department
Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Physical Therapist (PT) [Required]
