We are looking to appoint a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support worker/ Forest School Leader to join our team and to support us in making a difference to the lives of our pupils.
Trinity CEVAP is a successful single-form entry primary school where behaviour is described as exceptional and where pupils love to learn, believing that nothing is impossible.
Our school has extensive outdoor space and has its own forest area, which we are now seeking to extend our forest school provision.
This role is made up of several elements:
- Pastoral Support Worker, 20 hours per week, £21,189 - £24,054 per annum (pro rata), Grade 3, points 4-9.
- HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant), 6 hours per week, £25,979 - £31,364 per annum (pro rata), Grade 4, points 12-15.
- MDSA (Midday Supervisory Assistant), 4 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, Term time only.
You will be engaging and motivated with:
- the ability to use your own initiative in supporting the physical, emotional and social of primary aged children.
- the ability to inspire and motivate children to ensure that they achieve their full potential.
- experience in supporting children and families.
- excellent communication and IT skills; English and Mathematics of grade A* - C/ 9- 4 or equivalent, and some knowledge of the curriculum requirements for primary schools.
- an instinctive ability to deal with problems as they arise and the ability to work with initiative while also following established policies and procedures with the flexibility to adapt to different situations.
- Emotional and physical resilience, the ability to stay calm in challenging situations, patience and understanding.
- HLTA hours will include leading outdoor learning sessions and Level 3 Forest School training available to the successful candidate.
