Job Title: Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Business Manager

Location: London

Corporate Title: VP

The Global Emerging Markets (GEM) business is looking for a highly motivated professional to join the CEEMEA (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa) COO (Chief Operating Officer) team and be responsible for the Financing and Solutions business, including driving a planned expansion across both CEEMEA and LatAM (Latin America).

In this role, you will build and leverage strong relationships across our finance, risk, operations, technology and compliance functions and Financing and Solutions business leads to fully engage with global partners in the consolidation of regionally run initiatives and regulatory commitments. 

You will report to the GEM CEEMEA Flow and Financing COO.

Your key responsibilities

  • Coordinate Desk Heads, Sales teams and infrastructure partners to contribute to revenue / streamlining initiatives such as client and product initiatives, including execution of New Product Approvals and New Transaction Approvals to support business strategy
  • Partner with infrastructure to build out the capabilities required to successfully and safely operate and scale the business. Drive the transformation of the front to back architecture
  • Hold meetings between Head of Financing and Solutions and delegates, creating decks, capturing minutes
  • Support the business head in preparation of materials / analysis / Management Information (MI) for presentations internally including senior management
  • Support management with intra year cost management and year-end revenue planning
  • Work alongside the GEM BCU (Business Control Unit) function and infrastructure groups to ensure appropriate control and NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) framework adherence specifically for the F&S (Financing and Solutions) business

Your skills and experience

  • Experience coordinating and leading groups such as Front Office, Finance & Operations departments in Project Management and/or day-to-day activity management is essential as this is core to the role.
  • Strong Experience in costing, controls, handling financials and business management.
  • Experience in a COO or Business function supporting Investment Banking
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), in particular comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets
  • An excellent communicator in written and verbal format
  • Able to work independently with oversight from senior team members; able to identify key risks/escalate appropriately
