UKI PS Business Analyst

Description -

As a PS Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the PS Category Director in driving business growth and maximising performance within the UKI PC market. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting market data and trends to provide valuable insights to creating actionable strategies. Under direction and support, you will help develop Go-To-Market strategy and report on key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: work closely with the Category managers to enable comprehensive research and analysis of the PC market, including industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Data Interpretation: Analyse large datasets to derive meaningful insights regarding market dynamics and sales performance. Under direction, assist in developing models and visualisations to create business strategy.

  • Forecasting and Demand Planning: collaborate within the team to develop accurate forecasts and demand plans for the Consumer and Commercial business. Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimise business metrics.

  • Business Performance Tracking: monitor key scorecard metrics related to the business. Regularly assess performance against goals and provide actionable recommendations to enhance business performance.

  • Competitive Analysis: conduct competitive intelligence analysis to understand the PC market landscape. Provide insights to support decision-making regarding pricing, positioning, and Go-To-Market strategies.

  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings, recommendations, and performance updates to the PC Category Director and other stakeholders. Ensure information is presented in a compelling and easily understandable manner.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including sales and finance to align strategies and goals.

  • The position is based in either our Reading or London office, offering a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Science or a related field

  • Proven experience as a business analyst, market analyst, or similar role in the PC market or related industry

  • Knowledge of the PC industry, including hardware, software, gaming, and emerging trends is preferred but not essential.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex data sets.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (mostly Excel)

  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex details to stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles related to forecasting and budgeting.
