Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain Master Data and Bill of Materials (BOM) for production and logistics operations.
• Perform operational area calculations and define space requirements for various shop floor and warehouse functions.
• Design and optimize material flow engineering and route planning to ensure efficient in-plant logistics.
• Plan warehouse layouts, logistics facilities, and area allocation for optimized space utilization.
• Develop supermarket and shopping cart concepts including process design, layout, and manpower planning.
• Define and implement logistics process planning aligned with production flow requirements.
• Perform calculations for material handling equipment such as AGVs, forklifts, and tugger trains.
• Prepare and maintain project management documentation while managing communication with stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 3–6 years of experience in supply chain or in-plant logistics operations within Assembly, BIW, or Powertrain environments.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end intralogistics processes, including inbound, material handling, warehousing, and line supply.
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Visio, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Faplis.
• Experience working in automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments.
• Knowledge of the German language is highly desirable.
• Experience working in agile collaboration models (e.g., SCRUM).
• Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Educational Qualifications:
• B.E. / M.Tech (full-time) in Automobile, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering from a reputed institution.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• Exposure to logistics planning in automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier environments.
• Knowledge of Daimler-specific systems and global project collaboration practices.
• Basic understanding of German language for communication with global counterparts.
