Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pilot on C-130J or another Tactical Transport Aircraft
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pilot Instructor on C-130J or another Tactical Transport Aircraft
  • Must have a minimum of 2 000 hours flight time with at least 500 hours as pilot in command
  • Must be able to speak English fluently
  • Must hold or be able to attain and maintain relevant EASA qualifications
  • Must have recent experience as a fully mission qualified, C-130J Instructor Pilot or former fully mission qualified instructor pilot on another Tactical Transport Aircraft and simulator instructor experience.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders, cross functional teams, and customers

The selected candidate may also hold the following skills:
  • Prior experience delivering Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training
  • Strong process discipline with focus on efficiency and optimization
  • Demonstrated excellence at written and oral communication

About the Role

The France Germany Multinational Training Center (FGMTC) Lead Pilot Instructor at Évreux-Fauville Air Base (Base aérienne 105) in Évreux, France maintains instructor qualification and currency to include academic training utilizing electronic mediated lecture and/or interactive courseware and instructs flight procedures in flight training devices executing to the approved training syllabi for C-130J aircraft. The Lead Pilot Instructor will lead two other Pilot Instructors. Simulator instructor duties include the ability to provide instruction while operating the instructor operating station.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic training and instruction in flight procedures in flight training devices
  • Lead a team of Pilot and loadmaster instructors, including three other Pilot and two loadmaster Instructors, to ensure effective and efficient delivery of training programs
  • Monitor student training for continuity and standardization and ensure course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met
  • Provide feedback and complete student gradebooks in accordance with FGMTC policy and procedures
  • Drive changes and improvements to training based on feedback from student critiques
  • Ensure all training, courseware, and publications are current and work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely courseware updates as required
  • Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to accommodate changing training schedules and customer needs (including non-traditional working hours, occasionally nights, weekends, alternate shifts, etc.)
