Responsibilities:

  • Assist preconstruction MEP activities which include overseeing timely bid package submission to subcontractors, evaluating and approving final project cost submission to client, and attending client bid clarification meetings.
  • Oversee MEP design coordination with engineering firms for awarded projects to achieve client requirements.
  • Oversee and execute Project Executive set and achieve budgets for awarded projects.
  • Build relationships with equipment vendors and subcontractors.
  • Oversee procurement of MEP scope to achieve milestones.
  • Oversee direct procurement of critical long lead mechanical and electrical equipment to achieve milestones.
  • Oversee submittal and shop drawing review and approval.
  • Create MEP construction detail schedule and coordinate with CSA works.
  • Create and coordinate all MEP construction detail drawing with MEP subcontractors works  Resolve critical engineering issues and make technical reports.
  • Oversee clients achieve target budgets via value engineering and alternate design solutions.
  • Oversee with project close out documents.
  • Execute inspections, quality assurance, and progress monitoring.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in the industrial construction industry working within the MEP department and ideally 2 years as an MEP Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of MEP Construction Management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control standards, and environmental sustainability practices relevant to the construction industry.
  • Bilingual (fluent) in Japanese and English, preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
