POSITION PURPOSE

Position Title: Nursing Education Coordinator (RN)
Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor – Surgical PCU (2 East), Central Monitoring

Schedule: 32 hours per week, 8-hour shifts on Days.

No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: Serve as the primary educator for 2 East Surgical Step Down PCU, with additional support to Central Monitoring. You’ll foster a culture of Relationship-Based Care by applying adult learning principles, respecting individual learning styles, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  •  Collaborate with Employee Education & Development and other departments to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate learning programs

  • Lead orientation, preceptor development, continuing education, and staff development initiatives

  • Facilitate learning using diverse strategies, including simulation, to achieve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes

  • Support learner development and professional socialization aligned with nursing values and behaviors

  • Design and evaluate educational programs that reflect current healthcare trends 

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Michigan Nursing License

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in a related health care setting.
