POSITION PURPOSE
Position Title: Nursing Education Coordinator (RN)
Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor – Surgical PCU (2 East), Central Monitoring
Schedule: 32 hours per week, 8-hour shifts on Days.
No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities: Serve as the primary educator for 2 East Surgical Step Down PCU, with additional support to Central Monitoring. You’ll foster a culture of Relationship-Based Care by applying adult learning principles, respecting individual learning styles, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Collaborate with Employee Education & Development and other departments to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate learning programs
Lead orientation, preceptor development, continuing education, and staff development initiatives
Facilitate learning using diverse strategies, including simulation, to achieve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes
Support learner development and professional socialization aligned with nursing values and behaviors
Design and evaluate educational programs that reflect current healthcare trends
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current Michigan Nursing License
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in a related health care setting.
