JOB TITLE

Paint Head of Department - Senior Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversee activities directly related to the assigned operational department.
  • Plan and direct all department activities aligned with company goals and objectives; coordinate with executive management and other department heads as required.
  • Continuously monitor established Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and develop continuous improvement plans to meet KPI angles.
  • Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
  • Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire, and train new employees, or oversee these personnel processes.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with executive management and staff members as necessary.
  • Recommend and/or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Develop department succession plan; identify organizational opportunities for personnel development
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Management subsidiary material (paint, sealer etc.) and manufacturing tool for production.
  • Make plans to cleaning paint shop for each facility and arrange manpower for cleaning job.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned
  • Monitor safety/environmental, quality, cost, and productivity objectives for department.
  • Recognize overall paint facility status and problem and feedback to staff engaged in.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

•    Bachelor's degree (mechanical, chemical, material Engineering majors)
•    15+ years of job-related experience.
•    Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications.
•    Deep understanding of external markets and current trends
•    Extensive knowledge and experience in data analysis and developing proposals.
•    Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require company-approved sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
•    Must communicate with H /KMC employees on business
•    Job experience related to the automotive industry
•    Reference given to those who are fluent in Korean.

Travel Requirement
•    Domestic / International travel required.

Physical Demands
•    While in Office:
•    This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
o    Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
o    Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
o    Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed
•    When in Production Area (if applicable):
o    Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
o    Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25–30 pounds)
o    Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
o    Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
o    Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
o    Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
o    Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
o    Consistent and punctual attendance
o    Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
