Empower Rental Group is hiring a Regional Sales Manager! 

The Regional Sales Manager is a regional, field-based leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth, developing sales talent, and strengthening sales execution across multiple Empower Rental Group (ERG) branches. This position partners closely and reports to the Regional Manager to align sales and operations, ensuring revenue growth, margin improvement, and a best-in-class customer experience. The RSM develops and mentors Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) and Sales & Operations Coordinators (SOCs), while coaching Branch Managers to become effective local sales leaders.  Candidate must reside in the North Region.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

 

 

 

  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor OSRs and SOCs to build a high-performing, engaged regional sales team.
  • Coach Branch Managers on sales management fundamentals, including rate discipline, pipeline health, customer segmentation, and performance accountability.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one and monthly performance reviews to assess progress toward revenue, activity, and margin goals.
  • Foster a culture of retention, engagement, and continuous professional development.
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing training for new sales hires, ensuring consistent adoption of ERG’s sales process and CRM best practices.
  • Drive profitable growth through increased revenue performance, market share expansion, and customer retention.
  • Partner with the Regional Manager to develop and execute regional sales strategies, campaigns, and incentive programs.
  • Support branches in achieving used equipment sales goals and maximizing fleet utilization.
  • Identify and cultivate new customer accounts in target growth markets.
  • Ensure Branch Managers conduct weekly sales meetings focused on key metrics, pipeline activity, and performance results.
  • Present quarterly sales effectiveness reviews to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), summarizing achievements, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Champion full adoption and disciplined use of HubSpot CRM, ensuring data accuracy, pipeline visibility, and actionable insights.
  • Analyze CRM and financial reports to identify trends, gaps, and coaching opportunities.
  • Partner with Operations, Fleet, and Service teams to align priorities and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Regional Leadership to monitor P&L performance, rate achievement, and profitability targets.
  • Serve as a liaison between the field sales team and senior leadership, providing actionable insights, success stories, and feedback from the field.
  • Collaborate with Fleet, Service, Operations Excellence, and HR teams to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Model and promote ERG’s core values, fostering a culture of ownership, teamwork, and customer-first focus across all branches.
  • Uses the proper Personal Protective Equipment when performing work duties. Employee wears the proper shoes, glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc. Employee is properly attired to perform their job safely (no loose-fitting clothes, unsafe jewelry, etc.).
  • Disposes of waste properly.
  • Abides by all local, state, and Federal laws; reads, understands, and agrees to follow the policies outlined in the Company Safety Manual and Company Handbook.

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Branch Manager, multi-unit sales leader, or equivalent role within the equipment rental, construction, or industrial services industries.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing P&L statements and key operational KPIs.
  • Proven success in developing, training, and retaining top-performing sales talent.
  • High proficiency with HubSpot CRM (or equivalent) for activity tracking, pipeline management, and performance analytics.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a hands-on coaching approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaboration across functions.
  • Must reside within the assigned region and be willing to travel regionally (approximately 60–70%).
  • Performs job functions safely at all times.
  • Participates in all safety meetings.
  • Communicates all concerns or violations to the appropriate manager(s) immediately.
