We are looking for Specialists and Team Members to join us in crafting a wide variety of vehicles from the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to our all-electric electric vehicle, the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes’ luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined.

Essential Functions: 

• Coordinate and assist with manufacturing and commissioning of prototype vehicles for upcoming product launches

• Ensure correct tooling and equipment in place for the start of production trials, develop training plans for qualification of team members effected by product changes, develop a process of tracking and reporting on status of vehicle commissioning with an understanding of issues and their possible effects on organization

Other regular daily tasks:

• Participate in cross functional meetings to communicate issues and developments across the organization

• Prepare reporting documents for management team during peak trial times

• Assist in development of digital tools to track qualification across the plant (Digital COS)
