How You’ll Contribute

As a Funding Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming applications, daily check deposits, and bank reconciliations. You will collaborate closely with teammates across Policy Administration and other departments to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain compliance with company procedures and regulations. What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and process incoming applications, payments, and daily deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and verify system and bank deposit balances.
  • Serve as a primary contact for agents, independent marketing organizations, and business partners to resolve inquiries and provide guidance.
  • Perform quality reviews on teamwork products to maintain accuracy and service standards.
  • Identify workflow improvements and support system updates, testing, and enhancements.
  • Document, update, and recommend procedural improvements as needed.
  • Train and mentor new staff while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Assist with mail processing, payment verification, and suspense account reconciliation.
  • Handle escalated and time-sensitive issues professionally and with sound judgment.
  • Participate in departmental projects and initiatives that enhance efficiency and service delivery.

What You’ll Bring

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of banking or financial processing experience required.
  • 4 years of life and annuity experience preferred.
  • Experience with balancing and reconciliation of daily bank deposits preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle escalated calls tactfully.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change in a positive manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple systems and proprietary applications.
  • Collaborative and inclusive team player who demonstrates professionalism and integrity in every interaction.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform fine hand manipulation (e.g., data entry).
  • Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs).
  • Regular talking, hearing, and visual concentration required in a standard office environment.
