IQ Ventures is hiring a strategic and hands-on Director of Database Marketing to lead the launch and optimization of a new customer data and marketing platform for our customer loyalty and membership program (PERQS). This newly created position will work closely with the provider’s implementation team and internal stakeholders to build a scalable, high-performance CDP, ESP, and digital activation platform.
You’ll help architect the foundation that powers personalized marketing, design and optimize digital marketing journeys, implement tracking systems, and help lead a digital marketing team to execute campaigns and drive measurable growth while ensuring compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations and data privacy best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding of a new customer data platform (CDP) and marketing engine, partnering with external providers and internal teams.
- Help architect and launch a CDP that supports segmentation, identity resolution, personalization, and lifecycle marketing in partnership with 3rd party providers.
- Define and enforce data governance standards to maintain accuracy, consistency, and scalability across all customer touchpoints.
- Partner with IT and data teams to manage ETL processes, schema design, and audience synchronization across platforms.
- Develop email campaigns and lifecycle programs based on behavioral and transactional data.
- Partner to implement attribution systems using UTMs, cookies, clickstream data, and other tracking tools to monitor and report on campaign performance.
- Ensure all email and digital communications comply with CAN-SPAM regulations, including opt-out mechanisms, sender transparency, and content standards.
- Build and lead a digital marketing team to support campaign creation, execution, and optimization.
- Collaborate with IT, analytics, and partner teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and usability.
- Maintain best practices in data privacy, feed optimization, and performance reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, campaign testing, CRM, and customer data platform management.
- Expertise in email marketing platforms and journey orchestration tools.
- Experience in building or transitioning customer data platforms with third-party platforms is a plus
- Strong understanding of data feeds, tracking technologies, and customer attribution.
- Familiarity with CAN-SPAM compliance, GDPR, and other data privacy regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a digital marketing strategy.
- Industry experience in financial services, retail, credit, or banking is preferred.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
