Summary:

This position is responsible for coordinating all warehouse operations, setting and maintaining safety expectations and standards, and leading team of supervisors to support business goals.

This position directly supervises operations supervisors and their teams.

Duties

General Duties:

· Assist in controlling expenses

· Provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal inspection and OSHA requirements

· Interpret and enforce company policies

· Assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations

· Prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately

· Solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up

· Work with department heads to meet goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product

· Inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation and security

· Oversee all designated shift operations

· Develop and implement standard operating procedures for supervisors and operations

· Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant

· Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

· Plan, assign, and direct work

· Monitor and appraise work performance

· Reward, coach, counsel, and discipline team members

· Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly exposed to extreme cold. Temperatures in the warehouse vary from -5°F to 36°F. You may be occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Other duties include ensuring that all product quality and safety processes are being followed consistently promoting a safe work environment and performing other responsibilities as needed.

May spend extended times in an office setting as well.

Qualifications

· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred.

· Experience: 3-5 years of related industry 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a warehouse or knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations.

· Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required, must be proficient in Microsoft office. 

· Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Travel: May be asked to do 1-2 domestic trips per year.

· Special Skills: Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, and strong math abilities are a plus.
