VTDigger seeks professional candidates for a critical role on our Revenue and Operations team. The Advertising Manager is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of VTDigger’s advertising and sponsorship program. As the organization’s sole advertising sales professional on our revenue team, this is a hands-on role that combines strategy, sales execution, and client service. The Advertising Manager identifies and secures new business, builds and maintains strong client relationships, manages all aspects of campaign delivery, and ensures the success of our advertising partners.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in digital advertising or media sales, with a strong history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Hands-on experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to closing, reporting, and ongoing account management, is essential. A deep understanding of digital marketing channels and performance metrics, including display advertising, newsletters, and sponsored content, is required. Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills are critical, along with proficiency in CRM systems and comfort analyzing sales and campaign data. The candidate must be highly organized and able to manage multiple clients and campaigns simultaneously. A passion for nonprofit journalism and a commitment to VTDigger’s mission to provide trustworthy, independent news for Vermont are key. Experience with Google Ad Manager, programmatic advertising platforms, or audience analytics tools is preferred, as is a creative and solutions-oriented mindset.
