POSITION SUMMARY: The Wellbeing Specialist is a passionate advocate for holistic health, driving initiatives that empower outfitters to thrive—physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this dynamic role, you’ll craft and lead innovative wellness programs, deliver meaningful support and resources, and champion a Culture of Care that prioritizes prevention, accessibility, and genuine human connection. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop and manage comprehensive wellness initiatives with a focus on Prevention, Access, and Outfitter support.

  • Collaborate with business units, safety, workers compensation and other partners to identify opportunities to reduce overall health plan costs by driving prevention.
  • Create annual performance indicators to track goals against outcomes.
  • Engage outfitters in completing their annual preventative screenings.
  • Lead the rewards program to support a culture of health.
  • Lead the initiative to drive appropriate access to care (convenience, quality, and cost).
  • Work with Premise Health to drive outfitter visits / engagement at the Health Center and Pharmacy. 
  • Work with wellbeing partners to ensure program success, such as Anthem, Health Advocate, and Premise.  
  • Work with our partners in the creation of, and outfitter access to, lifestyle programs that promote healthy living (weight loss, physical health, healthy eating, smoking cessation, etc.).   
  • Base Camp Fitness Center.  Ensure safe, clean facilities and equipment for users of the fitness center at Base Camp.   Ensure success of programs to include fitness training, exercise, and meditation classes.   Manage annual budget.
  • Communicate with the HR Support Team to ensure they have information necessary to support our outfitters’ questions. 
  • Conduct assessments to identify wellbeing needs and recommend targeted interventions.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions on stress management, mindfulness, resilience, and healthy habits.
  • Collaborate with HR, management, and external providers to ensure access to appropriate support services.
  • Monitor program effectiveness through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Provide one-on-one support and referrals to mental health professionals when needed.
  • Stay current with trends and research in workplace wellness and integrate best practices.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Degree:  Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a health related field (if applicable)
  • Certificate(s) or License(s):
  • Years of experience:  3-5 years in related field   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Must be enthusiastic and able to encourage & engage individuals to make positive behavioral changes for the benefit of their own health and wellbeing.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of and previous experience in fitness, wellbeing/wellness principles and practices preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
  • Computer skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and with others

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10% Local and regional travel to meet with business unit leaders and outfitters. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks, sits, stands and does computer work.

Seldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
