As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our manufacturing systems. You’ll drive process development, optimize tooling, and ensure seamless automation and control. Your expertise will guide junior team members, and your problem-solving skills will contribute to successful product launches. The ME will be expected to lead high-impact projects. The ME is expected to lead change, contribute new ideas, and find innovative methods to accomplish goals. Work with tooling/outside suppliers/in-house personnel performing analysis of situations or data and develop an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Acts independently and exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies. Determines methods and procedures for new assignments. The ME will be expected to have the ability to get things done through people who do not report to them. The ME will also need to have the ability to work through adverse situations while building and maintaining good personal relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute with Excellence: Lead high-level engineering tasks, meticulously planning and scheduling complex cross-functional projects. Your proactive approach will mitigate technical risks, ensuring positive outcomes for both products and projects.
  • Process Development: Independently design and develop robust manufacturing processes. Your creativity and technical acumen will be critical in achieving efficiency and quality.
  • Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technical staff. Your mentorship will foster growth and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Product Launch Support: Contribute to the successful launch of new products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions from development to production.
  • Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Tackle field and manufacturing-related challenges. Whether you’re part of a supporting team or leading the charge, your solutions will make a difference.
  • Effective Collaboration: Interact with internal teams, customers, and vendors. Your communication skills will be key in building strong partnerships.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
    • Applied engineering expertise with hands-on experience.
    • Familiarity with discipline-specific tools (e.g., SolidWorks, 3D CAD, Minitab, GD&T).
    • Proficiency in common office and web-based software.
    • Ability to present technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • LEAN manufacturing experience
    • Experience/knowledge with process and equipment validation, PFMEA , IQ/OQ/PQ
    • CAD experience/knowledge
    • Must possess good project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects
    • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
