The Job

You will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from concept through commercialization—while shaping strategic direction and driving development of soft goods across evo’s Vertical brand portfolio.

The Opportunity

• Oversee all aspects of Soft Goods from concept to market. 
• Collaborate with the Sr. Product Manager on seasonal strategy based on financial targets, market research and consumer insights. Implement seasonal strategy through line planning and product briefing.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Design Manager to co-create critical design information related to the technical development requirements of new and updated styles.
• Effectively lead, manage and execute the product development process from concept to commercialization through vendor communication, prototyping and design reviews. 
• Manage product brief direction and design input utilizing advanced product knowledge and understanding of product creation process.
• Responsible for the product costing and profitability. Proactively providing solutions throughout the GTM process ensuring that margin targets are achieved or exceeded.
• Present construction and production suggestions for styles not meeting target margin, mitigate quality control challenges and unlock efficiencies in manufacturing process.
• Responsible for accuracy of tech pack sketches and product spec information.
• Proactively drive daily communication of all product development information to the appropriate vendor, consulting with them and tracking the progress and updates.
• Responsible for documenting and listing material technical information, costs, specifications, usages, measurements, and construction. 
• Advanced knowledge of construction techniques, fabrics and trims associated with the development process.
• Responsible for leading and initiating proto reviews to evaluate and update prototypes to align with cost and margin targets, leading to on-time production confirmation.
• Engage and collaborate with Product Manager, Design Manager and VP on strategic long-range projects as needed.
• Stay up-to-date and share current apparel trends, understand the market and how it pertains to evo Vertical consumers.
• Lead evo Vertical quality standards by establishing protocol that includes testing of fabrics, trims, embellishments, applications, and other components that are critical to product integrity and consumer end use.

Requirements

The Must haves:

• 6+ years of Product Line Management and/or Merchandising and Development experience. Work experience directly related to technical outerwear, apparel and accessories is required.
• Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously with vendor partners.
• Experience with counter-sampling and sourcing new suppliers.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, meet strict timelines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to organize imperative product information outside of PLM software platform.
• Possess advanced written and verbal influencing skills to engage and build consensus with various cross-functional partners.
• Solutions oriented and practice an open, creative, and adaptive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to drive negotiated deadlines with cross-functional partners through GTM process.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sustainable practices and materials related to product creation.
• Strong product creation and merchandising acumen.
• Passionate and strategic about product creation process.
• International travel is required and must be capable of effectively and independently traveling to and working with over-seas manufacturers and suppliers to meet GTM goals.
• Vital Skills/Tools: Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The Nice to Haves

• Bachelor’s degree specializing in related field.
• Have innovative knowledge of technical materials and functional aspects of Ski and/or Snowboard Equipment, Mountain Bike, Outerwear, Bags and Gloves.
• In addition to Product Line Management and Product Development experience, having experience in Design and/or Pattern Making.
• Knowledge of garment construction methods and manufacturing sewing operations, including pattern making, fit and grading is a plus.
• A passion for snow sports and mountain biking.

The base wage for this role ranges from $80,000.00/yr to $110,00.00/yr. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
