About The Role

Essity is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager who is responsible for providing on-going support to high value clients. Implement business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities with major accounts.  The KAM will assist in leading the Field Sales/Segment Teams to drive company and segment objectives.

The ideal candidate will live near a major US international airport within the aligned Essity Regional structure and the ability to travel often.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with major accounts, distribution and GPOs to promote brand awareness and secure profitable business.

  • Develop, implement and monitor customer specific sales processes and account plans/Joint Business Plans to meet/exceed sales targets.

  • Frequently analyze customer information to discover and manage business risks and opportunities.

  • Recommend products and services (value proposition) that fit well with client’s business needs.

  • Drives contract negotiations including terms and conditions, product offers and pricing in line with overall product and pricing strategies.

  • Provide on-going support to high value customers by managing internal resources to support business objectives.

  • Re-evaluate customer prioritization of allocated customers annually and propose actions aligning with business needs

  • Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitive actions and distribute to internal stakeholders

Who You Are

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or Sales & Marketing.  Experience in lieu of education will be considered

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial account sales

  • Minimum of 5-10 years working with and calling on distribution

  • Strong knowledge of Industrial segment, key drivers, channels, distribution, and purchasing practices

  • Sales management experience preferred

  • Proven senior level negotiating skills

  • Leadership by influence, collaboration & coaching capabilities

  • Functional experience with CRM

  • Technical and Financial acumen

  • Ability to travel 40% of time to domestic locations
