About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join our growing Operator Financial Improvement Team (OFIT), reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance for Orangetheory. This role will play a key part in shaping and supporting the franchisee financial health strategy across Orangetheory, with future application across all Purpose Brands.
The SFA will focus on enabling data-driven decision-making, supporting financial turnaround plans, and developing scalable standards and tools to monitor and improve franchisee financial performance. Initially, the role will play a pivotal role in the deployment of a cloud-based franchisee financial platform, including the onboarding of franchisees, training internal stakeholders, and ensuring data integrity and usability.
Beyond platform deployment, this position will be a cornerstone of a new approach to evaluating operator-level financial health — influencing key decisions related to franchisee growth, agreement renewals, and potential exit strategies.
Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)
Franchisee Financial Platform Deployment & Enablement
- Directly support franchisee onboarding and training for the new Franchisee Financial platform.
- Support the development and execution of internal training programs for cross-functional teams to utilize data effectively.
- Partner with external product and data teams to ensure platform insights are reliable, actionable, and user-friendly.
- Serve as a liaison between Orangetheory Finance, franchisees, and internal business users during implementation and ongoing support.
Franchisee Financial Health & Analysis
- Analyze franchisee P&Ls, balance sheets and basic debt information to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build scalable tools and dashboards to monitor financial health across the franchise system.
- Support development and rollout of new financial standards and benchmarks for franchisee performance.
- Contribute to the financial assessment of renewal, transfer, and remediation decisions in collaboration with Franchise Administration, Operations and Legal.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with Franchise Administration, Operations, and Development teams to assess financial feasibility of expansion, workouts, or new initiatives.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to executive leadership that support broader brand and franchisee growth objectives.
- Assist in the evaluation of franchisee capital planning, restructuring scenarios, and ROI assessments.
Data Management & Governance
- Ensure data integrity and governance for all financial data flowing into the Franchisee Financial platform and associated tools.
- Work with internal stakeholders to align reporting definitions and KPIs across systems and departments.
Strengths and Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or operational finance
- Experience with unit-level P&L analysis in a retail, fitness, or multi-unit business environment strongly preferred.
- Prior involvement in technology deployment or financial systems implementation a strong plus (e.g., ERP, BI tools, or SaaS-based financial platforms).
- Strong Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills required
- Experience with PowerBi and/or Tableau a plus, with a desire to continue to develop skills in new technologies.
