Avista Senior Living in Ferndale, WA is looking to add an exceptional, responsible ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT to our Front Desk team at of our beautiful community. This position would be FULL TIME.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for facilitating resident and guest enjoyment by providing information and assistance in response to a wide variety of requests. We are searching for an outstanding individuals with excellent customer service skills. You must be able to multi-task and love to work in a “fast-paced” and “positive” work environment. This vibrant receptionists will be focused on customer service and one who truly enjoys interacting with seniors. Please be responsible/dependable, goal-driven and an autonomous self-starter with an entrepreneurial passion and drive to reach the pinnacle of success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Answer telephones, direct calls to appropriate individuals in a timely, clear, concise, and professional manner
- Effectively manage business center and process incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, follow established safety standards
- Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
- Keep front lobby area and front desk clean and organized; etc.
- Direct emergency personnel to emergency location and be contact person in case of emergency
- Document in the logbook any significant incidents
- Maintain visitor sign in/out book, reservation book for guest rooms, and completes maintenance work orders
Qualifications
Qualifications:

One (1) year job related experience preferred in senior living communities (Preferred)

Being willing to be a first "great impression" for all those who enter the community through friendliness and customer service.

Experience with dementia care preferred.

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations

Competent in organizational, time management skills

Food handlers, first aide, and CPR certified (Or within first 3 months of employment)

Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident’s best interest

Proficiency in basic computer systems and design program to help design community flyers and events

Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following community procedures and guidelines and have the ability to follow through on assigned tasks

Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills
