11/05/2025 2025-2026 Teacher Transfer Instructions: - Applicant must be a US Citizen with a high school diploma or GED.
- Four (4) years of successful and appropriate occupational experience in the teaching area. A maximum of one (1) year of the required work experience may be satisfied by completion of an accredited occupational preparation program for the occupation to be taught; and,
- At least two (2) years of the occupational experience completed within the last five (5) years.
- Hold a professional teaching certification for the appropriate course code as listed under https://applications.education.ky.gov/SCCD/Home/Index
- OR
- Meet Occupation-based teaching requirements (see attached Occupational Based CTE Requirements and Hiring Procedures document)
- Issuance of one year Provisional Certificate; completion of three (3) semester hours of credit in the occupational area OR successfully completing the New Teacher Institute (NTI).

Salary Range: $49,479.56 - $98,587.95

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Kentucky Certification and endorsements appropriate to the technical program assignment.
* Successful and appropriate occupational expderiences and academic preparation approved and required by the Board and Kentucky Administrative Regulations
* Effective communication skills.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience in a diverse workplace.
Requirements to be an Occupation Based Teacher:
Exceptions: A candidate with a Teacher Leader or Supervisor of Instruction endorsement can serve in any consultant role without additional certification.
Additional training may be required.
