Homeoffice UI/UX Designer (6+ Years Experience) bei NXTKEY CORPORATION

NXTKey Corporation has been delivering Information Technology, Information management, Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity solutions to US Federal Government and Commercial Clients since 2005.

We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer with a minimum of 6 years of experience in designing engaging, user-centered interfaces for native Android and iOS applications. The ideal candidate (or design duo) will have a deep understanding of mobile design principles, accessibility standards, and the ability to translate complex workflows into seamless user experiences.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end design process—from research and wireframing to prototyping and delivering pixel-perfect, development-ready designs—built on a scalable, component-driven design system in Figma.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the user-centered design process, including research, persona development, journey mapping, and prototyping.

• Design intuitive UX flows, wireframes, and UI screens for Android and iOS native applications.

• Ensure adherence to Android Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines, maintaining platform consistency and usability.

• Create, maintain, and scale a custom, component-based Figma design system that supports designers and developers.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.

• Conduct accessibility reviews and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

• Apply data-driven and user-testing insights to continuously refine and improve product usability.

• Support Agile delivery processes, contributing to design sprints, reviews, and retrospectives.

• 6+ years of proven experience in UI/UX design for mobile apps (Android & iOS).

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and end-to-end design workflows.

• Expertise in Figma, including the creation of custom, scalable design systems.

• Deep knowledge of Android and iOS design best practices, UX heuristics, and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA).

• Solid experience in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design for mobile environments.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a keen eye for detail and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile (Scrum or LeSS) environments.

• Familiarity with developer handoff tools (Zeplin, Figma Inspect) and version-controlled design libraries.

• Experience collaborating with AI-assisted design tools or automation in Figma workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
