Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary:
The incumbent is capable of performing a number of tests/exams in the areas of Emergency Room, Outpatient, Surgery with C Arms, tomography, X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT Scan and/ or use of portable x-ray equipment.
Position Requirements:
· High School Graduate or equivalent
· Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
· Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in x-ray
· Preferred registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in CT.
· State of Illinois licensure through the Department of Nuclear Safety or IEMA.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Can be obtained within 30 days of start date or recertification can be obtained within 30 days of expiration.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities/Accountabilities):
- Conducts requested testing in the Radiology department per the physician’s orders.
- Obtains patient’s clinical history before beginning any exam.
- Demonstrates competency in collimation, positioning and techniques.
- Evaluates radiographs for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist.
- Monitors the film badge and follows up on exposure level results monthly.
- Must be proficient with a number of different machines and procedures used for radiology testing processes.
- Inspires confidence from patients, visitors and families by performing and communicating in a professional manner at all times.
- Respects the confidentiality of patient orders and records; uses discretion in discussion of patient health.
- Demonstrates concern for cleanliness and infection control by practicing universal controls.
- Must be available for call coverage, rotating shifts and disaster call back.
Pay Range:
Pay ranges from $24.556/hour to $39.290/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)

Hours: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 11 pm
