Department: Midwest Auto Parts

Relationships: Reports to Midwest Auto Parts General Manager and Parts Manager. 

Responsibilities and Authority:

• Treats customers and fellow employees in accordance with company policies.
• Develops and implements strategic sales plans. 
• Creates a weekly travel plan to visit existing customers and cold calls on potential new business (four days per week of in-person visits). 
• Follow-up on cold calls with regularity to express our interest in having as our customer. 
• Maintain relationships with customers both in-person and by phone. 
• Delivery of parts and return/core pickup on in-person customer visits. 
• Direct sales forecasting activities. 
• Suggest ideas and changes which could improve the overall customer sales and logistical experience. 
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs. 
• Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and promote sales. 
• Maintains the CRM Tool with updated customer information. 
• Liaison between Midwest and other dealership departments. 
• Analyze and suggest expenditure of advertising. 
• Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition. 
• Present a professional atmosphere in both appearance and attitude. 
• Support the manufacturer's programs. 
• Complete any required training courses. 
• Any other tasks deemed necessary per Management. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Must have a High School diploma or the equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication skills. Basic mathematical and reasoning skills needed. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing. Computer knowledge is a must. Employee must be able to lift up 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion. 

Working Conditions:

Will work at a desk in an office setting and occasionally a warehouse setting. Will drive company vehicle. Will have customer interaction. Will work with a computer and organize paperwork for most of the shift. May stand, stoop, lift, kneel, crouch or reach during the shift. Sound level is usually moderate. Will be exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
