Location: Middletown,New York,United States

Schedule: FT 40 hours, Friday through Tuesday 7am-3:30pm 

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 hourly 

 JOB PURPOSE: 

Senior Recovery Support Services (SRSS) provides aid to individuals who have substance use disorders.  SRSS ensures that a “best practice approach” to client care is maintained, while promoting adherence to organizational values, vision, mission, and service to the recovery community.   

  SCOPE OF INFLUENCE: 

  • Role model professionalism and client centered care to RSS team. Provide support, coaching, and guidance to RSS team. 

  • Acts as a role model when interacting with clients 

  • Communicates effectively within interdisciplinary team to support client’s recovery goals, reduce client complaints, and reduce incidents.  

  • Ensures shift to shift transitions are seamless and consistent.  

  • Maintains a safe, organized, and therapeutic program environment. 

  • Ensures all shifts have at least minimum coverage

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (85%): 

  •   Ensures that RSS staff are completing tasks accordingly on shift and offer support and guidance where needed. 
  • Assists Director and RSS Coordinators with shift coordination, safety protocols, and planning. 

  • Provide shift coverage when needed
  • Communicates any personnel or programmatic issues or concerns to supervisor 

  • Assists with completing weekly schedules, facilitates supportive feedback, supports process improvement on shift, and supports teamwork culture. 

  • Observes and monitors clients, providing trauma informed redirection and encouragement to adhere to program activity schedule and structure. 

  • Monitor, intervene, and report any safety concerns or incidents.  

  • Ensure RSS are cross trained for all workstations.  

  • Provides support for evacuation drills, and effective responses to emergency codes. 

  • Ensures proper response to significant incidents, including timely & accurate incident reporting.  

  • Communicates client activity to interdisciplinary teams 

  • Supports proper room searches and screenings of all client’s property for contraband. 

  • Ensures clients basic needs of clean linen, food, water, clothing, cleaning, and waste disposal are met while in quarantine and modified quarantine.    

  • Makes routine scheduled room checks on all clients. 

  • Supervision of client leisure time and outside recreation activities. 

  • Escorts clients throughout the facility to mealtimes, groups, and activities. 

  • Supports collection of urine specimens for drug toxicology on new admissions. 

  • Maintain accurate records on shift reports.  

  • Provides team with supportive feedback, supports process improvement, and participates in teamwork culture. 

  • Coordinate bed/room assignments with Admissions and Clinical departments. 

  • Assure clients follow daily schedule   

  • Adhere to all RRCOOC policies and standards. 

  OTHER (15%): 

  • Participate in interdepartmental staff meetings. 

  • Leads and supports shift exchange meetings and ensures standardized shift communication. 

  • Completes all assigned trainings.  

SKILLS

  • Coaching and supervision skills 

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft office suite. 

  QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • 3 years human services experience 

  • One (1) year related work experience in SUD setting

  • Current valid New York State Driver’s License 

  • CRPA-P, CASAC-T, CRPA, or Current New York State Security License
