Job Overview:
Responsible for ensuring overall coordination of services within the residential program including 24- hour supports in licensed group residences, supported independent living arrangements, in-home community supports and personal choice program; provide staff supervision and quality management; collaborate with other members of the senior management team, BHDDH and families/guardians
Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate regular supervision meetings with team
- Ensure that the Service Coordinators and Managers provide consistent quality supports to each individual in the residential program and their families.
- Coordinate and implements long-term planning for the Residential Program.
- Work cooperatively with Directors to ensure meaningful flow of information and a coordinated effort in supporting individuals in the residential program.
- Maintain ongoing contact with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) regarding all aspects of the residential program and Ocean State Association for Residential Resources.
- Attend all regional planning meetings.
- Maintain contact with Human Resources on all issues pertaining to training, staffing disciplinary action, and/or union issues.
- Ensure that all IPs and reports to DDD, Social Security (SS), the Department of Human Services (DHS) and other related agencies are complete, accurate and meet all deadlines.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Service Coordinators, Managers and other professionals to review program status.
- Conduct training sessions.
- Review information from DDD, DHS, SS, AccessPoint RI, and any other entity providing pertinent information.
- Maintain agendas and minutes for all meetings.
- Approve/deny all request for overtime.
- Maintain and provides backup for all overtime approvals.
- Reviews and authorizes all time sheets for payment.
- Review and provide feedback as needed in regards to mileage sheets and phone records related to the residential program.
- Forecast Residential budgets.
- Ensure compliance with the budgets for each location and for the program as a whole.
- Meet monthly with the COO of FD to review financial status, to review questions and/or concerns, and to make/receive recommendations.
- Routinely visit all locations of the residential program make certain that health and safety standards are present.
- Conduct basic assessments of the structure, supplies, cleanliness, and interactions in the home.
- Take all appropriate actions based on the assessment.
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations.
- Attends licensing surveys and Fire Marshall inspections.
- Responds to any and all deficiencies cited based on the survey.
- Provides related training to staff.
- Serve as point of contact during the intake process to ensure that information is effectively communicated throughout the Residential Program.
- Identify open positions within the Residential Program.
- Make recommendations for approval of positions to the Human Resource Director.
- Conduct interviews (in conjunction with Service Coordinator as appropriate) with Management applicants sent by Human Resources.
- Recommend hire of applicants to Human Resources.
- Responsible for training new Management Staff.
- Ensure disbursement of Human Resource generated applications to appropriate Management Staff.
PERIPHERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to provide back up support as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS Required. At least 5 years experience with individuals with developmental disabilities. At
least 3 years supervisory experience required. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Willingness and ability to complete CPR and Behavior Management Training. Access to and provision of an insured automobile on an ongoing basis.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral formats.
- Ability to read, comprehend policies and instructions, and use varying degrees of independent judgment and discretion.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Directly supervises Assistant Residential Director, Administrative Secretary, Service Coordinators
Indirect supervision of Managers, Clinical Staff, Direct Support Staff, Volunteers, Students.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting 100 pounds with two people
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Standing/Bending 50% of shift
- Pushing/Pulling 50% of shift
- Ability to carry out NCI techniques and holds
