Description
- Assure all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
- To adhere to all agency safety policies, including safe driving and seat belt practices.
- Assist individuals (i.e. through demonstration, repetition, verbal and gestural instruction) in learning job tasks.
- Assist Individuals in establishing community employment relationships, schedules, and adherence to work policy.
- Support Individuals as needed (i.e. setting work pace, implementing work responsibilities, correcting work, etc.) to ensure success on the job.
- Problem-solving issues with the individual and employer.
- Assist in the development and implementation of all individual plans for services, which assist in increasing individual participation in daily activities.
- Completion of all assigned documentation, including daily schedules, annual summaries, progress notes, data sheets, etc.
- Actively participate in staff training and assigned meetings
- Follows and implements all clinical services and programs as in-serviced
- Verbal Interactions as per Behavioral support training
- Physical interventions as per behavioral support training
- Communication
- OT, PT, ST
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Peripheral Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport Individuals to/from work
- Assist in working out schedules and schedule conflicts
- Assist coworkers by providing support as needed.
Necessary Knowledge. Skills and Abilities: working knowledge of employment supports. Ability to read/write English, ability to instruct individuals. Ability to pass CESP certificationSpecial Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
Qualifications
Minimal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- +1 year Human Services
- Willingness and ability to complete CPR, NCI (Nonviolent crisis intervention) Human Rights and other required training.
- Access and provision of an insured automobile on an ongoing basis
- Divers License
- Access to an insured vehicle
