MPOWER Physical Therapy uses a multi-disciplinary approach that includes orthopedics, physical & occupational therapy, personal training, massage therapy, and nutrition services to provide our patients & clients with great resources to help them reach their optimal level of wellness.
The Lead Personal Trainer's job is to lead, manager, and hold accountable the personal training team at assigned clinical site. The Lead Personal Trainer will ensure the highest quality of services are delivered while meeting goals for personal training client satisfaction, personal trainer productivity, and sales
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain required number of training sessions per week based on number of direct reports
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
- Operate all related systems and processes as assigned by the fitness and wellness manager
- Working in conjunction with the fitness and wellness manager, recruit, onboard, and develop a team of personal trainers who believe in our vision
- Maintain appropriate levels of staffing to meet the needs of assigned clinical site
- Conduct timely 90 day/annual reviews and compensation reviews for team members
- Ensure a safe and high-quality personal training environment for all clients
- Conduct weekly meetings with team members using the EOS management platform (Ninety)
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the facility (including availability for all team meetings and training time slots available – may include early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays)
- Serve as the “onsite” personal training liaison for clinicians and management
- Promote and develop team in program integration through service cross selling
- Understand company metrics through evaluation and inquiry
- Perform all payroll functions related to direct report personal trainers in a timely and accurate manner
- Submit all related reporting to supervisor and other relevant internal stakeholders in a timely manner
- Manage schedules for all direct report personal trainers to ensure goal attainment, proper capacity, and assignment of new clients
- Address client customer service issues in an appropriate and professional manner
- Maintain a neat and tidy work environment and commit to maintaining an excellent facility
- Ensure proper opening and closing of the facility on a daily basis
SKILL, TRAIT, AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in exercise science and/or business-related field required
- Current certification required: any NSCA, NASM or ACSM certification. Other certifications can be considered
- CPR certification required
- Minimum two years of one-on-one training experience and experience working with a therapeutic population preferred
- Excellent knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, exercise prescription, and working knowledge of human anatomy and orthopedics
- Management experience in a fitness setting preferred
- Work experience in a facility with licensed medical professionals preferred
- Excellent ability to effectively manage teams to goal attainment
- Competent with delegation and supervision of direct reports
- Excellent follow up skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Comfortable effectively using MS office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook with various internet applications
- Excellent ability to lead and participate in a professional and thoughtful manner in all Meetings
- Neat, professional appearance along with kind and helpful personality
- Handle difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
- Maintain patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the company
