Established from part of the Caterpillar mining group, CB Mining has grown from 2 locations in Washington, PA to now 4 locations, with additions in Marion, IL and Tuscaloosa, AL, We provide customers with rebuild services, CST gearbox rebuilds, welding and fabrications services, service exchange units, custom made cabling solutions, life cycle services including oil sampling and vibration analysis, robust inventory support, compatibility services and underground technical support. We also provide extensive machining, chroming, laser cladding, and hydraulic repairs through our valued partner Cleveland Brothers. Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the financial aspects of the business, including the monthly close process in compliance with GAAP, budgeting, cash flow, financial personnel supervision, and internal and external financial statement reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepares quarterly and annual financial statements for submission to shareholders and management
• Prepare financial statement footnote disclosures per generally accepted accounting principals
• Management of any external audits
• Responsible for proper revenue recognition and recording cost of sales in accordance with GAAP and company accounting standards for deferred revenue contracts
• Ensure the timely and accurate review and approval of journal entries and the completion of all account reconciliations
• Account maintenance and journal entry preparation and posting
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations in accordance with company policy. Account reconciliations would include bank reconciliation, AR reconciliation, AP reconciliation, and deferred revenue.
• Interface with various internal departments, customers, and outside business partners, on accounting issues
• Provide assistance to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Participate in cash management meetings
• Assist management with annual budgeting process
• Oversight and completion of balance sheet reviews
• Analytical reviews of financial operations

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA certification preferred, but not required
• 5+ years of financial reporting / financial accounting /analysis work experience preferred
• Previous work experience with accounting systems
• Advanced Microsoft Office user
• Strong Excel skills, including use of macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.
• Previous financial reporting required
• Strong computer and database application skills
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and create effective partnerships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated and self -directed
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask
