POSITION SPECIFICS

University Health Services (UHS) is your comprehensive on-campus healthcare resource. We specialize in outpatient student health, including the treatment of medically urgent problems and ongoing health concerns. We provide preventative care, education, and resources to help students live a healthy lifestyle.

UHS is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nurse Manager for providing quality nursing services to patients in Clinical Services.

This is a Union-covered position.

This is a standing 100% FTE appointment.

The typical work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (with 1-2 Saturday shifts possible during Fall and Spring Semesters).

This position will require work in the general clinical area and will interview, assess, and treat patients by protocol.

Additional duties include patient triage, phone advice, and problem-solving. The nurse will assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with exams, treatments, and procedures. Experience with allergy injections, as well as experience in an ambulatory health care setting.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Associate Degree 4+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

 

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
