IT Systems Engineer bei Tierpoint

The IT Systems Center engineers are able to design, implement, and monitor information technology systems at a data center.  This person must be familiar with a variety of IT hardware, such as servers, cables, power systems, and cooling equipment needed to maintain the physical safety of an IT facility.

• Design and manage information/network systems
• Setup and operate common Linux and Windows OS servers
• Perform quality assurance testing
• Identify and resolve recurring issues
• Identify reliability risks
• Schedule and track hardware maintenance
• Update port maps and rack layouts
• Create operational procedures
• Provide technical support
• Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience working with IT systems
• Linux and Windows OS system administration experience
• Network and power capacity planning experience
• A solid understanding of network and data cabling
• Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work both independently and with others
• Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer application

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience particularly in the data center industry
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT), computer science, or electrical engineering

Pay Range $60,000.00- $97,778.29
