Summary: 

The Business Development Administrator provides administrative support for Contexture’s Engagement Department. The Administrator works across multiple business applications to streamline and expedite functions.  This position requires collaboration across multiple departments within the organization and effective execution of key business functions.  

 

This position is based in Phoenix Arizona, Denver or Grand Junction Colorado. Our strategic flexibility allows for local work from home opportunities. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Tracks sales and program data, provide reporting to support forecasting and performance 
  • Obtains data to track and promote sales reports 
  • Provides administrative support for data entry into applicable business applications 
  • Responds to external inquiries received by general inboxes and voicemail 
  • Assist as needed in sales and contracting processes  
  • Follows established procedures for new projects and efforts based on sales strategy 
  • In collaboration with Marketing, manages exhibits at industry conferences and events, including all conference deadlines, registrations, schedules, staffing, budget, prep meetings, supply management, giveaways, and post-conference communications with attendees  
  • Coordinates with Marketing in advance on materials to print for each conference, messaging, and any themes for the conference 
  • Gathers needed information from internal teams and responds to general inquires  
  • Research logistics of new conference opportunities as they come up or upon request  
  • Assists with various operational and administrative tasks and  related duties as assigned 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills 

  • Excellent communication, influencing and partnering skills at all organizational levels

  • Understanding of clinical workflows 
  • Experience with E.H.R. software systems a plus 
  • Understanding of the HIE landscape, including functionality, technology (HIT) and policy

  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented culture

  • Demonstrated success in managing a sales funnel and closing contracts for services with payers, ideally in a national setting 
  • Work in collaboration with other Contexture team members to ensure alignment across Contexture 
  • Proven track record of establishing relationships, identifying customer needs, and defining value proposition 
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically 
  • Adaptable, flexible, creative business thinking attributes are critical 
  • Experience and comfort working with Senior Level executives 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • High energy, positive, can-do attitude, and attention to detail 
  • Strong initiative with solid work ethic and a willingness to roll up sleeves and do what it takes while at ease with ambiguity 
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions with limited information

  • Experience with CRM systems 

 

Education/Experience 

Minimum of 3+ years of consultative sales or consulting experience with payers and life insurance groups; preferably in healthcare IT or with a clinical background with a Bachelor's Degree in business, health care management, information systems or a related discipline preferred; MBA a plus. 

 

Work Environment

The position ​may​  require occasional availability for after-hours work, outside of regularly scheduled hours. 

 

The position ​may​ require ability to periodically drive to and from clients, conferences and / or events; and / or limited travel.  

 

This position is expected to be exposed to, process, or handle sensitive information including but not limited to Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), financial information, etc. As such, the holder of this position is expected to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, organizational policies, and compliance expectations. 

 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The person in this position needs to frequently communicate and exchange information and move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a keyboard, monitor, calculator, copy / scanner machine, and printer. Frequently moves office and work-related material weighing up to 10 pounds; Occasionally moves office and work-related material weighing up to 30 pounds.
