ABOUT THE ROLE
The VP, Revenue is a senior leadership role in the mid-market media business unit responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing the unit’s commercial performance, and leading the alignment of new business, marketing, and revenue. As a core member of the leadership team, you will be deeply involved in business direction and goal setting, revenue-based decision-making, pipeline health, and innovation in revenue channels. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape our go-to-market approach, lead pricing and profitability decisions, and develop capabilities that position Monks for sustainable growth.
Our ideal candidate is both a commercial strategist and a hands-on leader, combining strong sales acumen, operational rigor, and relentless curiosity about growth levers. You excel at building and coaching high-performing teams, leveraging data to inform executive decisions, and creating a culture centered on client value, market agility, and revenue accountability.

- Align planning and execution across new business, marketing, and revenue operations functions
- Direct service and capability development based on market trends and agency performance
- Lead key pricing negotiations, provide profitability guidance, and drive decisions on client upstreaming and pricing changes
Business Development & Marketing

- Responsible for confirming staffing, pricing, and planning for new account wins
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure accurate new client resourcing and pipeline tracking
- Oversee and align the marketing department’s work with revenue objectives, brand positioning, and ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) strategy
- Set marketing goals and KPIs, ensuring marketing initiatives drive measurable impact on revenue and brand value
- Maintain a best-in-class enablement suite: pitch decks, sales tools, product demos, and strategic documentation
Client Growth & Retention
- Oversee and coach on renewals, cross-sells, and pricing strategies for existing clients to drive retention and expansion
- Direct involvement in high-stakes renewal and procurement conversations
- Build and reinforce a culture of revenue contribution and commercial acumen within the accounts team
- Proactively manage and track revenue opportunities, forecasts, and client context to maximize renewals and upsell rates
Team Leadership & Operations
- Directly manage leaders in marketing and new business
- Coach and develop direct reports, oversee PRs, and drive clarity in team roles, hiring, and bandwidth needs
- Strategically allocate resources across programs that most directly influence revenue growth and team efficiency
- Routinely review contracts at a high level of attention to detail
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, technology, and reporting throughout the revenue cycle
