JOB SUMMARY

Our Director of Agronomy is responsible for overseeing grounds maintenance and fleet management at the Schaumburg Golf Club. This includes golf course conditions, staffing, landscaping, hardscapes, snow removal, maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This position directly oversees two (2) full-time employees, and indirectly oversees about thirty (30) part-time, seasonal employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in Golf Course Operation and Grounds Management, Turf & Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, Landscape Design, or other related field required. At least ten (10) years of relevant full-time work experience required. Will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and experience. We will provide the following training and certifications (must be able to acquire within 1st year of employment): Golf Course Superintendents Association of America certification & membership, Rainbird Irrigation training, Pesticide Applicator License, CPR, AED, First Aid & Blood Born Pathogens (BBP) training.

PAY & BENEFITS

This is a full-time year-round exempt position. Target hiring range is $101,350 - $115,200 per year DOQ (depending on qualifications). Our full-time benefits package includes:
