We are looking for a fair and respectable Wastewater Supervisor who leads by example to join our La Porte, TX team. Responsible and accountable for day-to-day wastewater operations by providing leadership and direction to teams in line with Clean Harbor's policies and strategy.

Responsibilities
Complete or ensure completion of periodic field inspections to monitor that repairs, installations and equipment are kept up to Clean Harbors standards in addition to ensuring quality control and verifying that established procedures are being followed (ie. Use of PPE, proper sampling procedure, customer relations).
Oversee daily inspections of equipment used such as forklifts, gold carts and area inspections
Ensure all new staff complete company training
Writing permits such as HOTWORK permit, LOTO, Hazardous work permits and line break permits
Ensure all appropriate operating permits are completed and/or secured in a timely fashion by fostering a professional and personable working relationship with the appropriate regulating authority.
Oversee daily yard inspection to account for all incoming and outgoing equipment and complete periodic inspections of rig ups and other services and provide guidance to staff when necessary.
Inspect and manage all equipment to include writing work order
Transfer documentation to Excel
Monitor employees, equipment and other daily basis to ensure expenditure is within budget.
Participate in the compilation of the branch on-call schedule.
Performs other duties and tasks assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
Qualifications
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
HS Diploma or equivalent
3+years of supervisory, foreman or management experience running crews
2 years of wastewater treatment experience preferred
Chemical plant experience or basic understanding of chemistry a plus!
Permit writing experience HOTWORKS, confined space, line break knowledge preferred
4-Gas meter knowledge
Strong leadership, mentoring and delegation skills
Mentors’ crews by building trust and leading by example
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work
Proven ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
MS Office Suite – Excel, Word and Outlook
Computer literate
Must lift up to 50lbs, stoop, bend, stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders
