The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Accreditation Professional Standards Manager in the Police Department.  

Responsibilities: Coordinate accreditation by maintaining all standards necessary to retain Greer Police Department accreditation. Provide uniformity and day-to-day interaction with standards to ensure agency compliance with guidelines for each standard. Research and analyze various organizational operations for efficient and effective services per accreditation standards. Calculate mathematical and statistical data, review historical data, and document in reports. Assists in liaison activities with designated CALEA team for re-accreditation and to identify and update standards and changes to procedures. Manage the accountability requirements for accreditation and ensure any changes needed are known throughout the chain of command. Update CALEA standards in the active assessment as required by mandatory updates. Attend assigned training as needed that may include CALEA and SCPAC conferences and meetings. Create and maintain electronic and physical files of accreditation process and policy updates. Support management in maintaining officially signed copies of agency policies for future reference and needs (FOIA, litigation, etc.). Process updated policies for approval and applicable signatures and add to document management system. Archive original signed policies upon update and maintain digital versions of archived policies. Assist with administrative research duties related to police research, staffing, and workload assessments, CALEA standards, and other assigned assessment related functions. Ensure Division Commanders and supervisors are aware of the CALEA standards and compliance requirements relative to his/her assigned area. Coordinates with Accreditation Team to ensure successful mock, computer-based, and on-site CALEA Assessments. Develop clear and compelling grant applications in coordination with departmental leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and compliance with funding. Manage awarded grants by tracking expenditures, overseeing implementation, and preparing timely performance and financial reports. Manage the development and rollout of new programs and process improvements, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure success.

Job requirements: Associate’s degree. Proficiency with computers and other technical programs, ability to perform moderate to complex reports via Microsoft Office Suite, ability to multi-task handling multiple projects at a time; Three years of experience in Law Enforcement Accreditation or closely related criminal justice field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with additional hours as needed

Salary: Minimum salary $67,978; dependent on experience
