Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA; Hartford, CT
Reports To: Head of Transformation
Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the successful delivery of initiatives. This role ensures alignment between business strategy, regulatory requirements, and technology delivery, while providing structure, governance, and clear visibility into Project progress and outcomes. The Project Manager acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, operations, technology, and external partners, ensuring that Projects deliver value, meet compliance obligations, and enhance the customer and partner experience.
You’ll work across finance, operations, claims, data and technology teams to ensure initiatives are aligned to business priorities, executed effectively, and deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic insurance Projects, spanning payment system modernization, updates to customer/agent portals, regulatory change, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Translate business needs into project scope, ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy.
Manage inter-dependencies across multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise goals.
Stakeholder Management:
Partner with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure initiatives meet stakeholder expectations.
Facilitate steering committees, executive updates, and working group sessions, ensuring decisions are well-informed, and risks are visible.
Manage resistance, balance competing priorities, and create strong partnerships throughout the organization.
Financial & Resource Management:
Manage Project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
Align resourcing across internal teams, contractors, and vendor partners, ensuring optimal allocation.
Change Management & Adoption:
Drive change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and tools across finance, claims, operations, and distribution.
Support communication, training, and readiness activities to prepare business users and external partners.
Continuous Improvement:
Capture lessons learned and implement improvements in Project governance and delivery practices.
Leverage data and metrics to measure value realization and enhance future delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience (5+ years) in Project or portfolio management, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of insurance business processes (policy administration, claims, billing, underwriting, distribution).
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance (e.g., NAIC, state regulations, GDPR/CCPA for data).
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing large, complex Projects with budgets >$5M.
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Project governance frameworks, agile delivery models, and change management practices.
PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent certifications preferred.

Salary: $90-$120k
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
**Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our office weekly**
